Having introduced ISO 50001:2011, HEP-Proizvodnja has consolidated all environmental, quality and energy management systems in its 35 hydro and thermal generation facilities into one integral system for the entire company.
'Intending to reduce energy consumption and costs as well as protect the environment, the permanent optimization of the energy, environmental and quality management systems today represents one of the key factors of successful business operation and development of HEP-Proizvodnja', said Željko Starman.
Optimizing its energy consumption, HEP-Proizvodnja reduces pollutant and CO2 emissions and raises the awareness of its own workers of the importance of environmental preservation. Having introduced certified environmental, quality and energy management systems, HEP-Proizvodnja has joined ranks of modern, environmentally aware companies, thus proving their focus on finding the potential for improvement and savings, reducing operating risk, increasing process efficiency, decreasing the possibilities of adverse environmental impact, and achieving as much energy efficiency of their facilities as possible.
