Companies of the HEP Group are members of business associations which promote the principles of good practice of socially responsible business and sustainable development in Croatia.

Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development (HR PSOR)

Since 2015 HEP Group has been a member of the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development (HR PSOR). HR PSOR is a non-profit institution of private sector, the association of representatives of the Croatian economy. The mission and aims of HR PSOR are the following:
  • Strengthening the awareness of the importance of a new attitude to the usual expression of business results, which in context of achieving sustainable development include the success of both the social community and all interested participants.
  • Exchanging good experience and highlighting positive examples within the whole business sector.
  • Advocating dialogue/discussion between all interested participants and encouraging new partnerships for the purpose of achieving better competitiveness and making innovations.
  • Supporting policies and orientations which contribute to new sustainable ways of behavior and action in all segments of the society.
Contributing to establishing honest and free market competition as well as transparent and responsible action of all its participants. 
HEP’s experts regularly participate at annual conferences about socially responsible business, organized by HR PSOR.

Community for Corporate Social Responsibility

At the inaugural meeting, held on 11 June 2018 in Zagreb, Hrvatska elektroprivreda d.d. became a member of the Community for Corporate Social Responsibility.
The CSR Community, which operates in the Sector for Energy and Environmental Protection of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, monitors the development of key aspects of sustainable development, organizes meetings, training courses, round tables, advocates for the needs of the Community members, and implements the CSR Index project.

Diversity policy in HEP Group

The Diversity Charter is the initiative launched in 16 EU countries which aim is to encourage the implementation of the diversity policy in the business sector. It is based on the group of principles voluntarily adopted by the signatories to promote diversity, non-discrimination, inclusion and equal opportunities in the workplace. HEP joined the initiative along 34 other companies and organizations in Croatia in October 2017.
By adopting HEP Group's Policy of Diversity and Non-Discrimination (pdf), HEP Group commits to encouraging and promoting equality and diversity in the workplace, creating victimisation and discrimination-free work environment, and striving for the creation of the culture based on honesty, dignity and respect, which values the contribution of all workers as well as individual differences among them.
