In accordance with the Act on the Protection of Persons Reporting Irregularities (“Official Gazette” Nos. 46/22 and 136/25, hereinafter: the Act), Hrvatska elektroprivreda d.d. has adopted the Rules on the Procedure for Internal Reporting of Irregularities and the Appointment of a Confidential Person, which regulate the procedure for internal reporting of irregularities and the procedure for appointing a confidential person and their deputy.
How can a report of irregularities be submitted?
The confidential person receives reports of irregularities in the following ways:
In writing:
- by post or through the records office - Hrvatska elektroprivreda d.d., Ulica grada Vukovara 37, 10000 Zagreb
- by e-mail - e-mail: prijava.nepravilnosti@hep.hr
- directly to the confidential person, for the record
Note: All documents and mail containing a report of irregularities must be marked: “Do not open – report of irregularities.” They are forwarded directly to the confidential person for receipt and further handling in accordance with the Act.
Rights of persons reporting irregularities
A person reporting irregularities has the right to:
- protection of identity and confidentiality;
- judicial protection;
- compensation for damage if the conditions under the Act are met;
- primary free legal aid in accordance with the Act regulating the right to free legal aid;
- other protection provided for in procedures prescribed by the Act.
Conditions for the protection of persons reporting irregularities
Persons reporting irregularities are entitled to protection:
- if they had reasonable grounds to believe that the reported or publicly disclosed information on irregularities was true at the time of reporting or disclosure;
- if that information falls within the scope of application of this Act;
- if they submitted a report in accordance with the provisions of this Act through the internal or external system for reporting irregularities, or if they publicly disclosed the irregularity.
