Born in 1974, Ivica Lončar graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb in 1997. In 2009, he completed a postgraduate Executive MBA program at Cotrugli Business School and earned a Master of Business Administration degree. In 2012, he completed a postgraduate program at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb and obtained the academic title of Master of Science.
From 1998 to 2001, he worked at Ericsson Nikola Tesla in Zagreb as a Network Integration Engineer. Between 2001 and 2003, he was employed by Ericsson Telecomunicazioni in Milan, Italy, as a Customer Support Engineer. From 2003 onward, he held various positions at Mobis Electronic, serving as the company's Chief Executive Officer from 2009 to 2015.
From 2015 to 2025, he worked in various roles at both domestic and international companies, including Microsoft Croatia, TNS Mobile International, Bo Consultor, Hrvatska Lutrija, and Moberg. From 1 July 2025 to 23 August 2026, he served as a Member of the Management Board of HEP Distribution System Operator (HEP-Operator distribucijskog sustava).
