In their addresses, all speakers agreed that the putting into operation of the Siscia transformer station opened a new phase in the energy and economic development of Sisak and its surroundings. I. Mravak said that the construction of the transformer station solved the long-existing problem of electricity supply for the town of Sisak. He recalled that almost 70 percent of electricity infrastructure had been damaged or destroyed in the war. Given that Sisak’s key supply problem had been the lack of capital transmission and distribution facilities, the new transformer station was of utmost importance. He emphasized that the construction had been completed as planned and that the latest and most reliable equipment, supplied mostly by domestic manufacturers, had been installed in TS Siscia. The total value of the works for the transformer station and the 2x110 kV connecting line is 87 million kuna.
