Applications designer in HEP's Rijeka Area Unit, Plomin TPP Section, Patrik Franković, recently returned from San Francisco where he participated as an exhibitor at a large international conference, Oracle OpenWorld 2010.
Mr. Franković presented a project entitled Indicators of Power Plant Production which had been developed and upgraded by a HEP's expert team led by Ivica Vukelić since 2006. It is an interesting metadata model which has proved useful and efficient in practice and which has attracted the interest of a number of foreign companies. The invitation to participate in the conference is a great success because Franković's paper was selected among tens of thousands of papers from all over the world. Incidentally, during Franković's stay in San Francisco another two information technology conferences were unfolding, Java One and Oracle Develop, which were attended by more than 40 thousand people from all continents.
