Nikola Tesla’s renewed cabinet opened

At the Technical Museum in Zagreb, a permanent display of Nikola Tesla’s demonstration cabinet covering 260 m2 was presented after being renewed with funds from Hrvatska Elektroprivreda

The permanent display was renewed as part of the marking of the Year of Nikola Tesla (2006) under the auspices of the Croatian Parliament. Attending the opening were Izet Aganović, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Croatia, Radivoj Cvjetičanin, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Croatia, Slobodan Uzelac, State Secretary for Higher Education, Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, Branka Šulc, Assistant Minister of Culture, Ljiljana Kuhta Jeličić, Deputy Mayor of Zagreb, representatives of cultural and scientific institutions and associations, and members of the organizing and implementing committee for the marking of the Year of Nikola Tesla. On behalf of Hrvatska Elektroprivreda, the audience was addressed by Ivica Toljan, member of the Management Board, saying that HEP Management Board had recognized the significance and role of this great man and joined in the marking of the anniversary and that in the future the company would be showing its business partners this modern space dedicated to Tesla and electrical power. After addressing the audience, the hosts, with professional guidance from Renato Filipin, demonstrated Tesla’s main inventions which will be as of today accessible to all visitors.
