Moody's affirmed HEP's credit rating and stable outlook

15.02.2016.
In the report published on Friday, 12 February 2016, Moody's affirmed the current 'Ba2' credit rating of Hrvatska elektroprivreda as well as a stable outlook in light of the company's good financial position.

The awarded credit rating confirms HEP's financial flexibility to sustain any potential longer period of reduced electricity prices, which have been facing a decreasing trend not only in south-east Europe but also in its other parts.

The affirmed credit rating reflects HEP's vertically integrated position on the Croatian electricity market with its 84 percent share, a generation mix with a high share of cheaper hydro and nuclear electricity production, and a solid financial company profile with a low level of debt.

The stable outlook of HEP's credit rating reflects Moody's opinion that the company will manage to retain its financial profile in line with the rating category, as well as its current rating grade in case of any negative pressure to which the sovereign rating might be exposed.
