The presentation of HEP`s award to students for the 12th time since 1995 was held this year on June 20 in Gospić as part of the national program for marking the Year of Nikola Tesla.
HEP`s award has been put again into the hands of 30 best students of primary and secondary schools who have achieved the best results in national contests in mathematics, physics and in contests of electric technicians and electric installers.
The awards were handed to students by Vice-President of the Croatian Parliament, Dr. Darko Milinović, Assistant Minister of Science, Education and Sport for secondary-level education, Vera Šutalo, and President of HEP Management Board, Ivan Mravak, who among other things said: "Your success binds us all, and this event, this award, confirms the seriousness of the project to create knowledge and young specialists in our homeland. All together we will confirm that we are a mature and responsible society which understands our time and who want to participate in it in a creative manner. Because knowledge can be an expression of love for the homeland!
