Japanese business delegation at HEP

As part of a business visit to Croatia, organized by the Embassy of Japan, a Japanese business delegation visited HEP yesterday with the aim of establishing cooperation.

The delegation of some twenty representatives of machinery industry led by Ito Mototsugu, president of the Japanese machinery industry federation, and the Japanese ambassador to Croatia, his Excellency Yoshio Tamura, were received by the president of HEP Management Board Leo Begović and his team. Mr. Mototsugu pointed out that the delegation was composed of Japanese representative entrepreneurs active in the machinery industry, in planning and research, who had been since recently initiating an international cooperation. He mentioned Croatia’s forthcoming accession to the EU and intensive development. Assessing the visit as highly important, Mr. Mototsugu said that Japanese entrepreneurs would like to learn more about the situation in the electricity sector and plans for the electricity infrastructure as the basis for the machinery industry. Mr. Begović expressed his pleasure at having the opportunity to present the investment projects, which had been determined by the Government of the Republic of Croatia. HEP has big plans for the future and we look forward to the possibility of future cooperation with Japanese companies, said Mr. Begović.
