ICOLIM 2011 in Croatia

From June 4 to 6, 2008 HEP participated in the 9th international conference on live work – ICOLIM 2008, held in Torun, Poland.

What made this conference significant was Croatia’s gaining full membership and voting right in the Steering Committee and Technical Committee thanks to HEP Management Board, HEP Education and Training Center and the efforts of Croatian members of Live Association Network (LWA). From now on Croatia will take an equal part together with Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary and Poland in making decisions on the further development and application of live work technology in Europe.
This year’s ICOLIM brought together more than 400 participants from 29 countries, presented 72 papers, and some thirty equipment and tools exhibitors from all over the world were present all the time. At a ceremony that closed the theoretical part of  ICOLIM 2008, HEP’s representatives showed a film presenting HEP Group and the host town where the next ICOLIM in 2011 will be organized, Opatija, and Meline substation where live work at all voltage levels will be demonstrated. On behalf of HEP as the future organizer, Darko Vidović gave a welcoming address and spoke about live work in Croatia and the excellent relationship with the French EdF SERECT in live work technology transfer. In accordance with the gained hosting, Darko Vidović was appointed chairman of LWA Steering Committee and Vladimir Caha was appointed chairman of LWA Technical Committee for a three-year term.
