The 10th ICOLIM 2011, held from 31 May till 2 June in Croatia, ended yesterday with live work demonstrations in 400/220/110 kV Žerjavinec Substation.
Our country is the youngest member of the Live Work Association (LWA), which organized this most significant European professional live work gathering together with Hrvatska elektroprivreda. Live work demonstrations were conducted by the USA's Quanta Energized Services team, as the gold sponsor of the Conference as well as the following teams: Polish 'Energa Operator S.A.', Hungarian 'EON Network Service Ltd'and Slovenian 'NEK'. The host was represented by HEP Training and Education Centre, Elektra Zabok and Elektra Zadar of HEP DSO. Luckily, since bad weather forecast did not come true, this practical and the most interesting part of the Conference was carried out under clear and sunny skies. The night before, during the Closing Ceremony at the Westin Hotel, participants were addressed by Darko Vidović, President of ICOLIM's Organization Committee and Chairman of LWA Steering Committee, Damir Pečvarac, member of the Management Board of HEP d.d. and Jozsef Kiss who was, according to tradition, symbolically handed over the organization of the next conference to be held in Hungary in 2014, the country of its very origin. Hungary was the host organizer of the first Conference on Live Maintenance in 1992.
