HEP enters the capital market

Hrvatska Elektroprivreda d.d. on Tuesday, November 21, at Zagreb’s Westin Hotel presented its inaugural bond issue of a par value of 500 million kuna.

On behalf of the issuer, this exceptionally important event was attended by President of HEP Management Board, Ivan Mravak, a Board member responsible for economic-financial affairs, Velimir Lovrić and Director of Economic Affairs, Ante Matijević. The agents and underwriters of bond issue were represented by President of Privredna Banka Zagreb Management Board, Božo Prka, President of Raiffeisen Austria Management Board, Zdenko Adrović, and President of Zagrebačka Banka Management Board, Franjo Luković. Also present were representatives of Zagreb Stock Exchange, Central Depository Agency, brokers, pension and investment funds and other potential investors.
Welcoming address was given by I. Mravak who said on the occasion of presenting the first corporate bonds of Hrvatska Elektroprivreda that HEP had been active and present in international markets of syndicate and bilateral loans. However, as the capital market in Croatia develops HEP has decided to support and actively participate in it.
This is the first time that one 100% state-owned company enters the capital market, stressed I.Mravak, adding that HEP will in this way secure the funds necessary for the continuation of the investment cycle, which requires between two and a half and three billion kuna a year.
