As of 1 April 2014, Hrvatska elektroprivreda d.d., as a wholesale supplier, is obliged to sell gas under regulated terms to suppliers within the public service obligation of supplying gas.As of 1 April 2014, Hrvatska elektroprivreda d.d., as a wholesale supplier, is obliged to sell gas under regulated terms to suppliers within the public service obligation of supplying gas for the needs of household customers and to ensure a reliable and safe gas supply.
The obligation of HEP d.d. has been set by the Decision on appointing wholesale gas suppliers, which was adopted by the Croatian Government at its session held on 27 February 2014 pursuant to Article 5a of the Gas Market Act ('Official Gazette no. 28/13 and 14/14). The Decision was published in the Official Gazette no. 29/14 from 28 February 2014 and became valid as of 1 March 2014. Hrvatska elektroprivreda d.d. has been appointed a wholesale gas supplier in the period until 31 March 2017.
