08.02.2006.
On Tuesday, February 7, at the ceremony at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb, President of the Federation of Consumer Protection Associations Ilija Rkman opens Heat Energy Laboratory.

This institution, which will verify and certify devices for metering of heat energy supplied, has been founded by HEP Toplinarstvo and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, and will be available for use by all heat suppliers in Croatia.. The equipping of the first laboratory of this kind in Croatia has been financed jointly by HEP Toplinarstvo and the Faculty and a portion of the equipment has been donated by Siemens Zagreb.
This is a good example for the cooperation between the economy and science, said President of HEP Management Board, Ivan Mravak. The Laboratory will, he added, contribute to greater consumer trust in heat metering.
Prof. Tonko Ćurko, Dean of the Faculty, stressed that the services now provided by the Laboratory need not be sought abroad and that the Laboratory is a confirmation that Croatia has the capability to master the most advanced technology
