All power plants of the production area Hydro West have been awarded today the certificates ISO 9001 for quality management system and ISO 14001 for environmental management system.
The ceremony was attended by, among others, all members of HEP Management Board headed by President, Ivan Mravak, and Chairman of HEP d.d. Shareholders’ Assembly and State Secretary for Economy, Vladimir Vranković. Ivan Mravak and Ante Despot, member of HEP Management Board responsible for production, pointed out on this occasion that such certificates had been awarded to the power plants of the production area Hydro North and would also be awarded to those of the production area Hydro South by the end of this year. Director of the Production Area Hydro West Milivoj Belobrajić and the directors of the hydro power plants Senj, Rijeka, Gojak, Vinodol and Ozalj were presented with the deserved certificates by Krešimir Paliska, director for Southern Europe of Det Norske Veritas (DNV), an independent certification firm from Norway.
“The establishment of the quality system conforming to ISO 9001:2000 gives a clear signal to customers, domestic and foreign suppliers and legislators that HEP Proizvodnja d.o.o. is committed to enhancing electricity production processes and that it follows customer requirements, making continuous improvements. Improvements are equally being made in operations and relations both with customers and relevant institutions, which contributes to achieving the basic business objectives of HEP Group”, said Ivan Mravak at the ceremony.
