Solin gets a new esco-lighting

On March 9, work began on the city of Solin new public lighting. The public lighting energy efficiency project will be implemented by HEP ESCO which has developed the project and secured financing.

The value of this ESCO project is 1.2 million kuna and annual savings to be achieved by the city after the project is implemented will be 313 thousand kuna.

The modernization encompassed 1024 lamps, the works to be performed are: replacement of old mercury light bulbs and lamps with modern sodium ones of lower power and improved lighting characteristics, and installation of controls on all lamps with two sodium-based light bulbs.

The works are planned to be completed in August this year. The implementation of the above measures will significantly reduce energy costs and contribute to reduction in light pollution and to traffic security.
