In cooperation with HEP-ESCO, HEP Opskrba, offers its customers, in addition to energy supply, a range of different services through the Benefits Program.
The Benefits Program is intended for HEP-Opskrba customers in the business category with annual electricity consumption of more than 1 GWh, who do not use the public service, for the period from 1st August 2025 to 31st July 2028.
Customers have access to all five service packages included in the Benefits Program.
PACKAGE 1 | Systematic Energy Management
(establishment of a remote meter reading system for control meters and the ESCO Monitor® system)
Data Analysis
Partial consumption – electricity and thermal energy consumption by systems / production lines [kWh].
Establishment of key indicators and reference consumption – electricity and thermal energy consumption per unit [kWh/unit].
PACKAGE 2 | Education Services
The service included in Package 2 comprises the provision of the Energy Managers Training Course and/or tailor-made Green Transition training for all employees free of charge.
Customers who choose the Energy Managers Training Course are also entitled to one of the following additional services free of charge:
- Preparation of a report on an implemented energy efficiency measure (required for certification of energy savings)
- Preparation of a feasibility analysis for energy efficiency projects
The
Energy Managers Training Course is intended for persons responsible for energy management, as well as persons responsible for facility management in the private and public sectors. The course is held over two days (16 hours) at HEP headquarters in Zagreb, at least once a year.
PACKAGE 3 | Consulting Services for Energy-Intensive Companies
(advising customers on how to comply with their legal obligations – an energy audit or an energy management system (ISO 50001))
New requirements for businesses under the revised Directive (EU) 2023/1791 (Article 11):
- companies with annual energy consumption exceeding 2.78 GWh but below 23.61 GWh, if they do not hold an ISO 50001 certificate or similar, will be required to carry out an energy audit and prepare an action plan with recommended energy-saving measures (by 11 October 2026 at the latest and every four years thereafter);
- companies with annual energy consumption exceeding 23.61 GWh will be required to introduce an energy management system (ISO 50001 or similar) by 11 October 2027.
PACKAGE 4 | Other Energy Consulting Services
Package 4 includes a 30% to 50% discount on one of the following services:
- Preparation of a report on an implemented energy efficiency measure (required for certification of energy savings)
- Preparation of a feasibility analysis for energy efficiency projects
Preparation of a report on an implemented energy efficiency measure
- An energy savings report is a concise document that systematizes information and evidence regarding an implemented energy efficiency measure. The identified energy savings may be sold on the energy savings market.
Preparation of a feasibility analysis for energy efficiency projects
- Preparation of proposed energy efficiency measures, including calculations of energy savings, investment value, feasibility and cost-effectiveness, with an emphasis on maximizing savings in relation to the investment.
PACKAGE 5 | Consulting Service for Project Applications for Grant Funding Calls
HEP-ESCO can provide clients with a service for submitting project applications to calls for grants for energy efficiency projects.
HEP-ESCO will issue a commercial offer to the client for this service.
The benefit for the customer is that HEP-ESCO will charge the customer only upon successful application. If the application is unsuccessful, HEP-ESCO will not charge a fee.
Before issuing an offer, HEP-ESCO will verify all of the customer's administrative and financial eligibility criteria, as well as the technical requirements of the project.
Customers who, under a valid electricity supply agreement, have not used the benefits from Package 1 in full, as well as customers who, by extending and/or entering into a new electricity supply agreement, have moved into a higher-value segment, are entitled to use the Package 1 benefit in full.
These customers can use the benefit up to the amount of the difference between the value already used and the value of the segment into which the customer has been classified.
The benefit used in this manner may be combined with the benefits from Packages 2, 3, 4 and 5.
