Works on 13 schools in Međimurje County were conducted as part of the energy efficiency programme. Depending on a school, energy eficiency measures included the installation of thermostatic radiator valves, radiator heating piping network balancing, installation of boiler room automatic regulation, modernization of boiler equipment, reactive power compensation and installation of highly efficient lighting.

The Execution Agreement was signed in September 2008. The facility acceptance was carried out in September 2009 after having completed the works. Total value of all project-related executed works amounted to HRK 1,904,000.00 (VAT exluded) with total savings of HRK 105,103.00 (VAT excluded) and an annual reduction of CO2 emissions by 80.7 tonnes.
