HEP ESCO and General Hospital Ivo Pedišić signed Implementation Contract in Sisak for an energy efficiency project which will be repaid through savings, worth 7.8 million kuna. Total savings in heating costs are 490 thousand kuna a year, consisting of energy, maintenance and staff cost savings.
The modernization of the Hospital’s heating system encompassed connecting it to the district heating system of the City of Sisak and the necessary reconstruction of the on-site heating system, including the construction of a stand-by system.
In this Project HEP ESCO provided new equipment and knowledge, for which the Hospital did not have to secure funding . The financing was secured by HEP ESCO in loans from the World Bank and domestic banks. The General Hospital in Sisak will repay the investment over eight years from savings in heating costs.
The Energy Efficiency Project has resulted in improved services for patients and higher quality of working conditions for the Hospital’s staff. In addition, the use of energy has been optimized and a more effective use of the budget has been ensured for the local community.
