Record daily electricity consumption in Croatia

17.12.2010.
Due to extremely low temperatures on December 16, a record daily electricity consumption was set. The total daily consumption amounted to 63 400 MWh while the previous record – set on December 21, 2009 – was 62 838 MWh.

In addition to the highest daily consumption, the peak load yesterday was the highest ever in the electricity system, amounting to 3 121 MW in the 18th hour. The maximum up to then was also set on December 21, 2009. The Croatian electricity system is stable and HEP has sufficient quantities of basic energy sources and satisfactory plant availability so that we do not expect any problems in customer supply.
