About us

HEP Proizvodnja d.o.o. is a limited liability company licensed to perform two energy businesses: electricity production for tariff customers and production of heat energy for the district heating systems in the cities of Zagreb, Osijek and Sisak.

In 2011, the power plants of HEP Proizvodnja generated a total of 8,179.67 GWh or 70% of the production achieved in 2010 when 11,585 GWh of electricity was generated. (4,577.24 by hydro power plants or 56 percent and 3,602.42 GWh or 44 percent by thermal power plants..

Besides production by HEP-owned power plants, production was realized by TE Plomin d.o.o. To operate and maintain Plomin 2 TPP, RWE Power (RWE East since Jan 1, 2011) and HEP Proizvodnja founded the company TE Plomin d.o.o. (owned 50%:50%). In 2011, TE Plomin d.o.o. produced 1,545 GWh of electricity, an increase of 2% compared to 2010.

 In 2011, a total produced by HEP Proizvodnja power plants and TE Plomin d.o.o. was 9,725 GWh which is a decrease of 25.7% compared to 2010 when 13,096 GWh of electricity was produced. The low production was the consequence of unfavorable hydrology in 2011.
