HEP Proizvodnja d.o.o. is a limited liability company licensed to perform two energy businesses: electricity production for tariff customers and production of heat energy for the district heating systems in the cities of Zagreb, Osijek and Sisak.
In 2010, the power plants of HEP Proizvodnja generated a total of 11,585 GWh or 4% more than in 2009 when 11,148 GWh of electricity was generated (8,309 by hydro power plants or 63.4 percent and 3,276 GWh or 25 percent by thermal power plants.
Besides production by HEP-owned power plants, production was realized by TE Plomin d.o.o. To operate and maintain Plomin 2 TPP, RWE Power (RWE East since Ja 1, 2011) and HEP Proizvodnja founded the company TE Plomin d.o.o. (owned 50%:50%). In 2010, TE Plomin d.o.o. produced 1,511 GWh of electricity, an increase of 90% compared to 2009 (due to generator rotor failure the unit was in constant shutdown for 3975.25 hours (from March 8 to August 21).
In 2010, a total produced by HEP Proizvodnja power plants and TE Plomin d.o.o. was 13,096 GWh which is an increase of 10% compared to 2009 when 11,944 GWh of electricity was produced.
