Meter and Billing
How to read the meter
The gas meter has five digits, viewed from left to right. The last digit is followed by another one or three digits which measure consumption in liters and which are ignored in the reading and billing. The digits that are not read are separated from the first five digits by a decimal comma and are normally in a different color.
Billing for natural gas consumption
The distributor supplies natural gas to the customer on a continuous basis over the set billing periods so that the debtor-creditor relation is created at the end of the billing period - as of the date of determining the billable values of gas consumed which is the date used for billing purposes.
The customer may within eight days of receipt of the bill file a complaint about the bill. If it is determined that the gas consumed is not correctly calculated, the distributor is obligated to refund the excess amount paid by the customer immediately thereafter or no later than at the subsequent billing plus interest.
The billing for gas consumption is performed on the basis of meter readings. If gas consumption cannot be read due to a faulty gas meter and illegal consumption, it will be determined on the basis of average consumption over the past three months, provided that no major gas appliances have been connected or disconnected in the meantime.
