Transmission areas

Transmission areas are the organizational units of HEP-OPS responsible for maintenance and operation of the transmission network in their respective areas. There are four transmission areas: Rijeka, Osijek, Split and Zagreb.

The main functions of the transmission areas are:

• maintenance of primary equipment,
• maintenance of secondary equipment,
• maintenance of process ICT equipment,
• operation and maintenance of auxiliary plants,
• network monitoring and control,
• replacement, reconstruction and refurbishment of primary (high voltage lines, switchyards, substations) and secondary equipment (ICT, relay protection, measurements).
