 Telecommunications
HEP-OPS telecommunications network provides all types of communications in support of power system operation and other HEP-OPS functions in the electricity market in Croatia. The main telecommunications network of HEP-OPS is based on fiber optic conductors embedded in ground wires of high voltage lines, microwave links and underground optic and copper cables using state-of-the art technology (DWDM, SDH, IP,…).
Several special-purpose communication networks necessary for HEP-OPS operations are established on the main telecommunications network:
- Switched telephone network
- System control communication network,
- Load-frequency control communication network,
- Transmission line protection communication network,
- Business communication network,
- Voice radial radio communication network and
- Monitoring and control communication network of main telecommunications network
