On the occasion of handing of certificate of conformity with the environmental management system ISO 14001:2004 to the State Institute for Nuclear Safety, on Friday, December 7, the Institute handed gratitude notes to institutions and individuals, among which were Kažimir Vrankić and Hrvoje Perharić.
At the ceremony, which was attended by government officials, ambassadors and numerous guests, the Institute director’s representative for environmental quality and management Saša Medaković briefly addressed the audience indicating the importance of introducing the environmental management system and its implementation. The director of the Institute Matjaž Praha was then handed the certificate of conformity with the environmental management system ISO 14001:2004 by Želimir Đurašević, the director of SGS Adriatica d.o.o. This was followed by presenting institutions and individuals with annual gratitude notes of the State Institute for Nuclear Safety for excellent cooperation and contribution in the field of nuclear safety. The winners of gratitude notes for 2007 are: State Directorate for Protection and Rescue, State Meteorological and Hydrological Service, Ruđer Bošković Institute, Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health, Ambassador Mario Horvatić - Croatia’s representative in the IAEA Council of Governers and Vice-Chair of the Council Zvonko Kusić, Hospital Sestre milosrdnice Zagreb, Hrvoje Perharić - member of the Management Board of Krško NPP, Stipe Lulić of Ruđer Bošković Institute, Kažimir Vrankić - member of HEP Management Board and Don Johnston of the USA Embassy.
