HEP-Obnovljivi izvori energije d.o.o. (HEP Renewable Energy Sources), one of the partners involved in the implementation of FP7 CONCERTO – an energy programme of the European Commission – successfully passed its first test before the European Commission.
The audit of the first year of the project was carried out on October 4 and 5 by European Commission auditors, Luis Gallego Rodriguez and Maximilliano Rodriguez Sanchez from Directorate-General MOVE and Directorate-General ENER. Toward the end of 2009, HEP-Obnovljivi izvori energije d.o.o. became involved in CONCERO – a European Commission energy programme financed from the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Development of the European Union (FP7) – in which it participates as one of the partners in the implementation of the Solution project. Solution is a European consortium composed of four participating local communities: Cernier (Switzerland), Hartberg (Austria), Hvar (Croatia) and Lapua (Finland)and observer local community Predvor (Slovenia). The planned duration of the project is 5 years. The activities expected to be carried out within the project in Croatia, CONCERTO Solution, are related to, inter alia, the achieving of energy self-sufficiency of the island of Hvar by utilizing the available renewable energy sources and improving energy efficiency. HEP s main contribution is being made through the preparation of construction of a 500 kW solar power plant, combining two different technologies.
