The official start of the EU project TOUREST

An initial meeting of partners on the EU TOUREST project, within the Interreg ADRION Program, held on March 22 and 23, 2018. The host of the Kick-off Meeting was Lamia, the capital of Periphery Central Greece. The project will last 2 years and the total value of the project is EUR 971.861.99, co-financed by the EU funds by 85%.

The strategic goal of the TOUREST project is the sustainable development of tourism through systematic management of water resources in the Adriatic region and the promotion and evaluation of natural and cultural heritage through economic growth.
 
The project will focus on recommendations for developing ADRION's public administration strategies for efficient water management in the tourism sector, a demonstration of systematic monitoring of water consumption in tourism and building of public sector capacity.
 
Leading partner of the project is Peripheral Central Greece (Region of Sterea Ellada).

The project includes 7 partners from 4 countries (Greece, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia).

Partner from Croatia is HEP ESCO.
