Varaždin

For the public lighting in the town of Varaždin, HEP ESCO has implemented an energy efficiency project worth 6.3 million kuna.
The wasteful lights were replaced with the modern cut-off fixtures.

The flat glass of the newly installed lighting directs light rays downwards, with the dark remaining above the lighting fixtures, in accordance with international trends in light pollution prevention.
The night lighting does not enter the apartments and does not disturb the residents while the road is lighted to the extent that fully meets traffic safety requirements.
Apart from these standard lighting technique improvements, the poles were also renewed with corrosion protection.

In addition to being friendly for the environment and human health, the new lighting allows significant savings: the new light bulbs produce the same amount of light while consuming less energy.
The town of Varaždin will thus save more than half a million kuna a year.

The total investment in the energy efficiency project for Varaždin's public lighting will be fully paid back in only eight years, and after this period the town will benefit from years of financial savings, state-of-the-art infrastructure and a lighting that meets international environmental standards.
