The project of energy efficiency measure implementation in Velika Gorica Heating Plant for the GIII boiler room and the construction of the GIII- GI connecting hot-water pipeline started in 2010. The project included the replacement of the energy fuel, the plant's reconstruction and equipment revitalization. Light fuel oil and extra light fuel oil used as heating fuel were replaced by boiler room gasification thus providing cost-effectiveness and reliability of heat energy production and having a favourable environmental impact. Boilers' existing burners were replaced, cascade regulation for the operation of four boiler units installed, boiler room ventilation reconstruction was carried out, new electrical installations with the electrical cabinet installed, piping network within the boiler room was modified along with the replacement of heat allocators and connectors with accompanying braking and distribution elements (valves, pumps etc.) as well as stalk rehabilitation conducted.
The construction of the GIII-GI connecting hot-water pipeline facilitated additional savings as a result of work optimization during summer months.
Project's total value amounted to HRK 15,839,937,00 kuna, while total annual saving amounts to HRK 8,587,692.00.
